About Me

My journey as an artist began when I was just a few years old. I have always loved "hands on" art. I love creating things, painting, drawing, and expressing myself through photography. I am excited to develop digital art skills throughout this semester and the future. I use art as a way to calm my mind/body and channel my inspirations/creativity. As a Senior in college I find myself creating art through photography, drawing/doodling, and painting. Through my travels I have had the privilege to visit some of the most beautiful places and museums in the world. Some of my favorites have been the Louvre, the Galleria dell’Accademia, and Park Guell. One of my favorite hobbies is scuba diving, and one thing I love about it is capturing photos and videos of underwater life. Whether it is the structures of coral, the slow motion of plants and seaweed, colorful fish, or large creatures, the photos and videos I take capture a whole different life we are not used to seeing. A lot of my inspiration comes from life around me. The lives of other people, landscapes of nature, and my personal encounters are a few examples of this. One thing I hope to advance in when it comes to art is the knowledge and appreciation of certain works of art. Sometimes I find it difficult to relate to a piece or to really understand the artistic literacy behind it. With more exposure and study I hope to gain more insight.
